Minimum requirements:
- Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in public health/nutrition, pediatric health, family health, health/nutrition research, global/international health and nutrition, policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology, nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, health sciences, or another health and nutrition-related science field.
- Work Experience: A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: public health/nutrition planning and management, neonatal and child health/nutrition care, universal health coverage, food systems. Direct hands on experience in support of national governments in the areas of UHC or food systems essential.
- Skills: Advanced partnerships and negotiations skills are essential.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
Desirables:
- Experience in health/nutrition programme/project development and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
- Coordination skills especially in sector coordination at country level is an asset
- Good understanding of IFIs and bilateral donor country engagement processes in middle income countries is an asset
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
