In Burundi, UNICEF has a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, but all with the same objective: to support the government and other stakeholders in realizing the economic, social, cultural, political, and civil rights of children. The UNICEF country program in Burundi aims to improve the lives of children and women in the following key areas: Child and maternal health, nutrition, education, child protection, water, sanitation, and hygiene, social policy and advocacy, adolescent empowerment and community resilience, and humanitarian response.
It is within this framework that the consultancy will provide technical support within the framework of the Duhagurukire rimwe dutera intambwe project for the training of community actors on CSC tools and approaches to prevent SGBV against children and ensure the evaluation of these activities.
How can you make a difference?
The consultant will have to:
● Develop training and monitoring-evaluation materials
● Training community actors
● Implement monitoring and capacity building activities
● Deliver an evaluation report
To be a champion "for every child," you will need to have...
● An advanced university degree in social sciences, human rights, or any other similar field
● At least 5 years of professional experience in the prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence in community-level projects
● Expertise and experience in the field of social and behavioral change and/or gender equality;experience in designing training modules for community actors;experience in facilitating training on social and behavioral change, GBV, and/or gender equality;experience in developing monitoring and evaluation tools on social and behavioral change, GBV, and/or gender equality;experience in implementing monitoring surveys and/or focus groups;experience in writing reports;Be able to work in a team, under pressure and in a multicultural environment;the ability to carry out the task within a tight schedule and with limited supervision;Be available to complete this assignment from mid-May to mid-December 2025
● Excellent oral and written skills in French and Kirundi

● A financial offer: the remuneration proposal in BIF must include daily fees, communication, mission costs at field level and other information where applicable;
● Proof of similar work including at least two studies or two similar works.
