Job Title: Senior Oncology Nurse

Job Scope

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team.

This full-time, onsite role involves providing exceptional patient care, administering chemotherapy, and managing other cancer treatments.

The Oncology Nurse will monitor patient symptoms and progress, ensuring optimal outcomes through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Responsibilities

Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive care to oncology patients, including the administration of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.

Symptom Management: Expertly manage patient symptoms, ensuring comfort and well-being throughout treatment.

Patient Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Collaboration: Work closely with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.

Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all patient interactions.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; additional certifications or advanced degrees in Oncology Nursing are highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Must have significant experience in Clinical Oncology Nursing or Palliative Care Nursing.

Specialized Skills: Candidates must be seasoned, doubly qualified nurses with experience in Accident & Emergency (A&E) or theatre nursing.

Oncology Expertise: In-depth knowledge of oncology nursing, including chemotherapy and cancer treatment protocols.

Patient Care: Demonstrated expertise in patient care, including symptom management and monitoring progress.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
