REQUIREMENTS

For post 1{1) ~ (20x!) Applicants must possess the Fellowship of either of the West African College of Surgeons OR the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. Evidence of Publications in learned journals will be an added advantage.

For post 2{1) = (2001): Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nigerians for full-time Residency Training Programme in the University College Hospital, Ibadan leading to Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the Fellowship of West African College of Surgeons/Physicians.

Prospective candidates are expected to:

● be qualified Medical Practitioners (MB&S/BOS)

● be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)

● have passed the primary examination of any of the Postgraduate Colleges in his/her speciality.

● have satisfactorily completed the NYSC programme or be duly exempted from & by the NYSC Directorate.

● Candidates applying for training in the Department of Laboratory Medicine would be required to rotate through the Departments of Pathology, Haematology, Medical Microbiology and Chemical Pathology and such candidates could only decide on an area of specialisation at the end of at least the first year of rotation subject to satisfactory appraisal by the Head of the respective Departments.

Successful candidates will be expected to commence Residency Training in accordance with the laid down rules. The establishment of private clinics and engagement in private medical practice constitutes a violation of the terms of training and any Resident found culpable of these will be asked to withdraw from the Training Prograrmme.

For post 3: Applicants are expected to:

● be qualified Medical Practitioners (MEBS/BDS)

● be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)

● have satisfactorily completed the NYSC programme or be duly exempted from & by the NYSC Directorate.

For post 4: Applicants must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must induce English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and must possess B. Pharm. and current license to practice as Pharmacist. Candidates must also have completed the NYSC Programme or present an Exemption Certificate.

For post 5: Applicants must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and must possess a B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) and current license to practice as Physiotherapist. Candidates must also have completed the NYSC Programme or present an Exemption Certificate.

For post 6: Applicants must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and must possess B.Sc. (Radiagraphy)/Bachelor of Radiological Sciences and current license to practice (RRBN). Candidates must also have completed the NYSC Programme and present an Exemption Certificate.

For posts 7 & 8: Applicants must possess five credit passes at not more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and also possess a Bachelor of Nursing Science or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Registrable with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria and must have participated in the NYSC Programme or be exempted from it. Submission of Current professional practising license is mandatory.

For post 9: Applicants must possess five credit passes which must indicate English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and also possess a B.Sc. degree in Athletics and the current license to practice as Dietician. He/she must have participated In the NYSC programme or be exempted from at.

For post 10: Applicants must possess five credit passes which must include English and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized Institution and must have participated in the NYSC programme or be exempted from it.

For post 11: Applicants must possess five credit passes at not more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate oF National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and also possess a Higher National Diploma in Dental Technology from 8 recognised institution with current practising license.

For post 12: Applicants must possess five credit passes at not more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and also possess Higher National Diploma in Dental Therapy from a recognised institution with a current practising license.

For post 13: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and relevant certificate in Speech Therapy/Audiology while a Masters's certificate in the Rehabilitation of Exceptional Persons from a recognized institution would be an added advantage. He/she must have participated In the NYSC programme or be exempted from it.

For post 14: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution. He/she must have participated in the NYSC programme or be exempted from it.

For post 15: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must Include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from a recognized institution. He/she must have participated in the NYSC programme or be exempted from it.

For post 16: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must induce English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and a B.Sc. degree in Environmental Health Science from a recognised Institution with a current practising license. He/she must have participated in the NYSC programme or be exempted from it.

For post 17: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and Diploma Certificate in Audiology from a recognised institution.

For post 18: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and Diploma certificate in Advanced Orthopaedics Cast Techniques from a recognized institution.

For post 19: Applicants must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate/West African School Certificate with five credit passes which must include English Language & Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings which must be from the same examination body and Diploma Certificate in Aneesthetic Technician from a recognized institution.

For post 20: Applicants must possess five credit passes at not more than 2 Sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and also possess a Diploma in Dental Surgery Technician from a recognised college of Health Sciences and the current practising license.

For post 22: Applicants must possess five credit passes which must include English and Mathematics not more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or National Examinations Council (NECO) Certificate and a B.Sc. degree In Computer Science from a recognized Institution. Knowledge in HTML, C55, JavaScript, ASP.NETCore, MSSQL and GIT Version Control will be an added advantage. Candidates must also have completed the NYSC Programme or present Exemption Certificate.

For post 23: Applicants must possess five credit passes at no more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or NECO Certificate end possess 3 5. Sc. degree in Horticulture from a recognized institution. He/She must have participated in the NYSC programme or be exempted from it.

For post 24: Applicants must possess five credit passes which must include English and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings from the same examination body in the West African School Certificate or NECO Certificate and B.Sc. in Library Science from a recognized institution. Candidates must also have completed the NYSC Programme or present Exemption Certificate.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

These are similar to those obtained in the Federal Public Service. In addition, Pension arrangements will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act 2014,

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants are to visit the University College Hospital, Ibadan website at employment.uch-ibadan.org.ng to complete the employment application form.

Applicants are expected to upload (3) three reference letters addressed to the Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital, P.M.6 5116 Ibadan and submit them along with the completed application form online before the dosing date.
