Job Title: Wellness Assistant
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Temporary
Job Purpose
The Wellness Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the wellness centre under the supervision of the Wellness Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Include:
● Assisting with the screening of new enrollees to the SHE centre
● Providing first aid support services as required
● Supporting documentation and timely reporting
● Contributing to the smooth running of the hub.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Wellness Coordinator (Nurse):
● Provide basic health support to the Wellness Centre
● Support the provision of first aid for hub visitors, staff, and enrollees
● Assist in the daily activities of the Wellness Centre
● Help integrate wellness, mental health, and fitness activities into the hub’s daily routines
● Contribute to demand creation activities to increase uptake of available health services
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
● The ideal candidate will be a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW), Nurse, or allied health professional with relevant experience.
● Experience working in Lagos State and familiarity with critical stakeholders is required.
● Excellent interpersonal skills.
● Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, with competencies in public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and resource allocation.
● Ability to communicate in the local language and good knowledge of the terrain are advantageous.
