Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria was established in 1993 as one of the pioneer Federal Medical Centre in Nigeria. The hospital is located on 58.4 hectares of land and is the only Federal tertiary health facility and referral hospital in Ondo State. The hospital is located in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo- State which is about 48km from Akure, the state capital. The hospital serves the neighbouring states such as Kogi, Edo and Osun States.

We are on a MISSION to initiate and develop quality service delivery by putting in place necessary infrastructure to be able to deliver effective, efficient and affordable health care services to all our patients; this will be sustained through an effective monitoring and evaluation mechanism and have a VISION to provide qualitative, affordable, accessible health care services to our patients at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels with the ultimate goal of reducing morbidity and mortality among Nigerians’.

Requirements

● Interested candidates must possess a Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS / MBChB) and Part II Final examination Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post- Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African College of Surgeon/Physician and its equivalent.

● He/she must be registered with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

● Evidence of possession of annual practicing license is a requirement.

Condition of Service

● As applicable in other Tertiary Health Institutions in Nigeria.
